Ana La Gata (Homage to Lyz Taylor) ... Nights a tribute to the star a few days ago has left us again publish a story I wrote some time ago and was inspired by "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." All that did was review it and change small details in writing. I hope you enjoy reading whether you read in the time as if now is the first time.
ANA LA GATA
As every morning Anne loved breakfast on the terrace while reading a newspaper. Looking through the card, saw that one of the summer theaters in the city replenished "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof." Suddenly felt his hair stood on end and suffered a trip to the past that carried a decade ago, to his college days ...
that Anna was very little time not devoted to one of his favorite hobbies. During his college years he participated in several writing workshops, which had always seemed very interesting.
The first to be used to recite poems said Becquer and Neruda, read the great masters of literature and analyzing his works, discovering always in every word, every verse, every phrase, nuance new, different. And they were inspired to invent stories and write some stories and poems.
workshop was a very small, not more than ten people, making it the atmosphere was quite cozy and intimate, and dealing with the teacher, Diego, was very close.
Diego was the typical teacher of almost all the girls fall in love. He was forty years and, although he had half his life in Spain, her sweet and sensual accent still betraying who had lived in the land of tango to twenty.
Ana loved to chat with him, he was an educated man and his conversations were always interesting. Besides, his horn-rimmed glasses gave him a certain intellectual air and seductive eyes that look almost black and gray at the temples emerging made it more attractive still. She loved, was his dirty little secret. Diego
always carried a book with him. He loved to go to the cafe to read a little every time I had a free moment. One day he was having a coffee while enjoying one of her favorite reads when you enter Anna appeared she was unaware of his presence, but her shyness made simply say hello when passing by.
"Good morning, Anne, Where are you going so fast? Would you like to sit here with me?
"I'm just looking forward to a friend.
- For perfect then! Wait for it here. I invite you to a coffee in the meantime. Waiter! ...
"Okay, although I do not long in coming.
It felt a bit rushed because although he loved to chat with him at the time the conversation took place outside the workshop that he taught and could lead to other issues that had nothing to do with literature, Ana was nervous and sometimes could not even talk about.
"I liked the story you've read today in class," said he to break a little ice.
- Really?
"Yes. Very well structured. Clear, concise and convincing. Your words are very strong. Congratulations.
- Thanks! For me it is very important your opinion.
-are on the right path, go on, Ana
- And that book? What are you reading now?
-A play by Tennessee Williams. I'm terminándomela. Surely know, "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof", have you read?
-No. I have not even seen the movie.
- What do you mean? Not even the movie? But if a film classic! I know the dialogues by heart, I have seen hundreds of times. The work is much better than the movie but it's still almost a crime I had not seen Paul Newman in the best role of his life and the majestic and beautiful Elizabeth Taylor in the role of Maggie.
"The truth is I have not seen too much film classic," she said.
- Oh, very badly indeed! That should fix it. Right now they are replacing the film in the cinema Avenue. I was planning to go see it. "Sounds good to come to see me? He asked after a moment silent.
- To the movies? With you? Do the two together? Replied nervously.
- Sure! What better time? Also going along well, I do not like going alone to the movies. I promise to buy popcorn ...- said, smiling. He doubted whether it would
right to accept his proposal, but the plan seemed so appealing ...
- Come on it! I'm about to! Are we going this evening? What time is it? Replied after taking the decision.
"At eight in the Avenue.
"Okay, see you there at seven and a half.
"Great, I'll be there. "And I
. I'm going, which is already there my friend. See you later.
-bye.
"Goodbye," he said as he went to meet his friend with a big smile on his face that he did not see because he had already turned.
Ana had no idea what was that smile that Diego continued reading, were even larger than yours. From the first time he saw her appear around the room had fallen in love with its beauty. With that sweet face, her hair long and the hips swaying walk that he could drive anyone crazy, it seemed the most attractive girl I had ever seen. And after talking with her and have treated a little more. Ana had duende. And this timidity that sometimes could not hide, did nothing but enhance that special magic she possessed.
That evening went to the movies as they had agreed. Ana was delayed a bit. The lateness was one of the things I always intended to address and rarely achieved.
"A promise is a debt. Here your popcorn. Do you crave something more?
"No thanks.
-buy some chocolate anyway, that I love them.
- Should we go now? Be about to begin.
"Yes, let's go.
The Avenue was one of the few remaining luxury cinemas in the city. They entered the room, which was half empty, and took their seats.
-Elisabeth Taylor is one of my favorite actresses. You'll see how you like.
Ana, watching in silence, just smiled. I felt a knot in my stomach growing stronger. I could not believe that that was something like an appointment with his admired teacher.
During the almost two hours took the film, Diego was looking more time to screen Ana. Take a look. Delighted with the naturalness of gestures, with the sweetness that gave off your look, a glance casually reminded the feline look of the protagonist. She noticed me looking at her, but preferred to hide, and ran with it just a few.
did not need to look at the screen. Beside him, a few inches, I felt the spell of those big blue eyes, almost violet, but full of sweetness, had hypnotic powers if they were staring. Maggie was his particular.
Diego struggled not to succumb to them and tried to suppress their desires, but only got it. Tried to concentrate on the movie but half of the projection could not go.
walked slowly to his hand, the unexpected butterflies fluttering in the stomach Ana felt contact with its skin almost took her breath away. He grabbed his chin and his eyes, stuck into each other, stopped the second in a single moment, magical. Then it happened. His lips were merged into a kiss that flooded the room that chemistry that made sparks.
That moment was the beginning of a beautiful story that took his two protagonists to enjoy each other for the rest of the course.
A history that could last longer because of the distance that separated when Diego went to another city next year but, while it lasted, was nothing short of perfect.
Ana learned to love with him for that, though his history had not lasted too long, the treasured in her heart as one of the best experiences so far.
"Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" inevitably reminded him. He had not seen her and when she saw in the newspaper that replenished this movie so special to them, did not hesitate an instant to see her again. Never forget the film that brought so much magic your life.
